Properties bought or remortgaged in recent times will be registered at the Land Registry and title information will be available upon request from them. In addition to the official copy of the title information the HIP must also include an official copy of the title plan, which is a map of the property and the surrounding area. For commonhold properties titles and plans must be included for both the commonhold and freehold. The unregistered titles are not as stringent and depends upon the documentenation that is available to provide the required title information.
